Exclusive: Plaxico Burress To Surrender Monday

Posted by Scott Stanchak on November 30, 2008

I have confirmed that New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress will turn himself in to New York City police on Monday morning.

According to the source, Burress will arrive at the 17th precinct on 167 E 51st St. with his lawyer, Benjamin Brafman.  Burress’ wife, Tiffany, is also expected to appear.

Google Earth shows the precinct 2.6 miles south of the Latin Quarter, the club where Burress accidentally shot himself.

I spoke with Brafman via e-mail this afternoon and was told that he and Burress do not have any prior relationship.  “He was referred to me by other former clients and his management team,” Brafman wrote.

Burress will be formally charged with criminal possession of a hand gun.
